Advent 2025 - Angel

This design features a curly haired angel in a lacy gown heralding the start of the festive season!  As the countdown to Christmas proceeds, you'll add 24 unique little snowflakes to the surrounding sky.

These stitchable advent calendars are designed to be displayed as you stitch, so you can admire your progress after you add your daily snowflake. On 18 count you can use an 8 inch hoop, on 14 count fabric this will fit into a 10 inch hoop. If you wished to stitch this on 16 count, it might just about fit in an 8 in hoop, a 10 inch hoop might be better (you'll just have a bit more space around the outside). You could also consider a hanging magnetic frame or something similar to make a wall hanging if you would rather hang up your piece, or frame it of course! I estimate each daily addition will take around 10 minutes :)

I recommend using a single strand of DMC/equivalent . I used DMC 973 (yellow) for the hair and trumpet, DMC 604 (pink) for the hands, legs and face, DMC 597 (blue) for the eye and DMC B5200 (white) for the rest, on 18 count red Zweigart (now sadly discontinued,) but you might find some/other brands are available. Of course you can stitch this design in any colourways you choose, to suit your own taste/Christmas decor!

PLEASE NOTE: There are a couple of half stitches used in this design - just two though (for the eye detail)
