Geometric florals - Cornflower

This series explores the point where flowers and geometry collide in a gentle kind of way.
Cornflowers were the perfect opportunity to use the glorious DMC 995, a beautiful electric blue that reflects the almost unnatural blue of the flowers themselves. There is geometry here in the intricate diamonds on the recipticle and also in the angular petals of this beautiful bloom.

This series will grow over the coming weeks to include astrantia, calendula, red clover (and other designs in progress too)

These designs measure the same as the adventures in geometry 1-9 and my botanical blocks - 120 x 120 stitches
On 14 count this is approx 22 x 22 cm (8.5 x 8.5 inches), on 16 count 19 x 19 cm (7.5 x 7.5 inches) & on 18 count 17 x 17 cm (7 x 7 inches).
