Weaving Stars

This chart contains some graduated blackwork to create the weaving effect and an abundance of regular blackwork fills in between. Shown here in 42 DMC shades (if you have stitched my colour wheel, you will have all of these colours already to hand and if you purchased the colour wheel thread pack you will probably have sufficient of each shade leftover to stitch this too!) There is also included, a colour key with just 12 shades that will also create a simplified but still effective colour wheel.
If you would rather stitch in mono, you can of course, but if you do I would suggest using a lighter shade of grey for the stars so the definition of the weaving design is not lost. I have included an additional star to fill the centre space if you wish. 
Of course, you can let your imagination choose whichever colour scheme you wish, as always these are just suggestions :)
This chart contains no half stitches but may be a little more challenging than some of my other patterns so if you are a first-time blackwork stitcher, perhaps give something else a spin first. I stitched my outlines first, you may prefer to stitch them at the end, otherwise, you do need to stitch quite carefully up to the outlines with your colours. There are stitching notes and guidance included with this chart!

On 14 count 23 x 24 cm (9 x 9.5 inches),

on 16 count 20 x 21 cm (8 x 8.5 inches),

on 18 count 18 x 19 cm (7 x 7.5 inches).
