Supernova

Supernova, is for me, a visual reminder of the patterns, routines and cycles that make up our world, galaxy, universe and beyond!

I've recently reminded myself of why I originally became obsessed with blackwork and so have been dedicating time to designing new, and hopefully alluring, fills for me to enjoy and share.

My stitching was done on 18 count using black Sulky 12 wt for the outline and 30 wt for the fills. I would recommend this or 2 strands of DMC (or equivalent thicker thread) for the outline and a single strand for the fills as I feel this design just needs that little bit of extra definition at the edges.

There are no fractional stitches in this design, there are some diagonal stitches, but written and visual guidance on how to tackle these is included in the chart. (they are quite simple you just need to span over either 2 or 3 'squares' of aida)

On 14 count 29 x 29 cms (11.5 x 11.5 inches)

On 16 count 25.5 x 25.5 cms (10 x 10 inches)

On 18 count 23 x 23 cm (9 x 9 inches)
