All the fun of the festive season is coming in this stitch-a-long! As the weeks progress, a residence will be revealed that is decorated for the holidays ahead!
There are options included with the template, where you can choose your border (one a bit more intricate than the other) and also what to put on top of your gate posts, a red-breasted robin, a cardinal, or a cheeky elf. For each of these, there are a couple of half stitches needed for the smallest details.
If you wish, you can also choose to add a sign for your gate. Additionally, there are two garland options: one features foliage, and the other has star motifs and tiny candy canes.
You could certainly stitch this chart in mono, but I do feel a few touches of colour suit it well. Please be aware that there is a little bit of negative space stitching (so the colour of your material will be used to create a paler area, so it might be best not to choose something too dark for your fabric, or else you may decide you can 'reverse' these areas, with a bit of creative stitching with white thread.
I know some of you like to see the full chart before committing and as, by the time the last part releases, christmas will be looming when I know time can be scarce, I have decided to create a secret page where you can view the final design if you wish, this may also help you decide on colours for thread and fabric, but of course some of you will prefer a suprise, so please, if you do decide to view the whole design, keep in under your hat ;)
