Geometric florals - Astrantia
This series explores the point where flowers and geometry collide in a beautiful, organised kind of way!
If you have ever looked closely at an Astrantia, you will know it is like getting a whole tiny bunch of flowers in every single bloom. I find them utterly fascinating and a joy to grow. Commonly known as masterwort, they are robust and happy almost anywhere, one of my all time favourites! This series includes other geometric botanicals such as cornflowers and spider chrysanthemums and there will be more additions in the future.
These designs were also an opportunity to use some of the brightest DMC shades, here I chose a lovely vivid pink DMC 3804, but of course, you can stitch these up in any colour you wish. You can be true to nature or indulge in a bit of fantasy!
These designs measure the same as the adventures in geometry 1-9 and my botanical blocks - 120 x 120 stitches
On 14 count this is approx 22 x 22 cm (8.5 x 8.5 inches), on 16 count 19 x 19 cm (7.5 x 7.5 inches) & on 18 count 17 x 17 cm (7 x 7 inches).
