Geometric florals - Calendula
This series explores the point where flowers and geometry collide and make a natural mathematical wonder!
Calendulas are a fascinating and unmissable flower, Their abundance of petals are neatly arranged to form a cheerful bloom reminiscent of the sun itself. This series includes other geometric botanicals such as cornflowers and spider chrysanthemums and more additions including astrantia and red clover will be added soon (and other designs in progress too)
These designs were also an opportunity to use some of the brightest DMC shades, here I chose one of the brightest oranges DMC 970, but of course, you can stitch these up in any colour you wish. You can be true to nature or indulge in a bit of fantasy!
These designs measure the same as the adventures in geometry 1-9 and my botanical blocks - 120 x 120 stitches
On 14 count this is approx 22 x 22 cm (8.5 x 8.5 inches), on 16 count 19 x 19 cm (7.5 x 7.5 inches) & on 18 count 17 x 17 cm (7 x 7 inches).
